15 Rohingya people die in trawler capsize

At least 15 Rohingya people, most of them are women and children, have died after a trawler capsized near Saint Martin Island of the Bay of Bengal.

Bangladesh Navy and Coast Guard members have recovered 15 death bodies. A total of 62 people were rescued alive in the incident. Many people are still missing.

The trawler capsized 10 kilometres northwest of St Martin’s Island on Tuesday morning on their way to Malaysia illegally.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
