Mahmudullah stars in Pakistan Super League

Sport Desk: Bangladesh all-rounder Mahmudullah Riyad showed an excellent batting performance in his first match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) being held in United Arab Emirates.

The 31-year all-rounder who is playing for Quetta Gladiators in the franchise based T20 tournament, scored unbeaten 29 runs off 20 balls and smashed 2 fours and a six against Islamabad United on Wednesday night.

Batting first at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Quetta scored 148 for 6. However, they lost the match by 5 wickets as Islamabad opener Sam Billings made an unbeaten 78 off only 50 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes.

Quetta will play their fourth match against Peshawar Zalmi at the same venue tomorrow (Friday).

They are in the second position of the point table with 4 points from two wins in the previous matches of the 5-team tournament.
