2 drug traders killed in ‘gunfights’ in 2 districts

Desk Report: 2 drug traders were killed in separate two ‘gunfights’ with law enforcing agencies in Satkhira and Cumilla districts.

In Satkhira, a drug trader namely Yunus Ali Dalal was killed in a gunfight with police at Borali village under Sonabari union of Kalaroa upazila around 1.45am on Friday. 

The deceased was the son of Abdullah Dalal at Dakkhin Bhadiali village.

Police also recovered a shutter gun, two rounds of bullets and 70 bottles of Phensedyl.

In Cumilla, a drug trader was killed in a ‘gunfight’ with police in the district on Thursday midnight.

The gunfight took place in Mohishmara area under Sholonol union in Burichang upazila.
The deceased was identified as Kamal Hossain alias Fenci Kamal (51), son of Hiron Mia at Rajmongolpur village.

Two drug peddlers-Hanif and Elias- were arrested from the spot.

Police also recovered a pipe gun, one round of bullet and 50 kgs of cannabis from the spot.
