2 held with 1,100 Yaba tablets in Rajshahi

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5 personnel detained a couple with 1,100 Yaba tablets from Belpukur area under Puthia Upazila of the district on Sunday morning.
The detainees are- Anwar Hossain, 32 and his wife Mahmuda Aktar Mim, 19.
Rajshahi RAB-5 deputy commander major A M Ashraful Islam said that the couple was coming to Rajshahi from Chittagong carrying the Yaba pills. Later, acting on a tip-off, the law enforcers searched them and found the narcotics.
A case was filed in this regard, he added.
