4 killed in Faridpur road crash

Faridpur Correspondent: At least four people were killed and 70 others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Barisal highway in Jamtala area of Gerda Union in the district on Wednesday afternoon.

Of the deceased one was identified as Habib Sheikh.
 
Sources said that a Tekerhat bound passenger bus collided with another  Faridpur-bound passenger bus in the area around 3:00pm, leaving 74 passengers injured.

Later, the critically injured passengers were sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared four passengers dead.

Confirming the matter, Assistant Police Super of Faridpur Highway Police Belal Hossain said that on information police and rescue team of fire service rushed to the spot.
