3 lynched at Rupganj

Staff Correspondent, Narayanganj: Three suspected dacoits were lynched in mass beating in district’s Rupganj early Saturday.

Another suspected dacoit was also injured in the incident.

Officer-in-charge of Rupganj Mahmud Hasan said that a gang of robbers numbering 12/15 entered the house of Kuddus Shikdar in Jindabazar area. Hearing the family members’ shouting, neighbors chased them and caught three of them. Later, they were given a good beating, leaving two dead on the spot and one critically injured. 

Later, the injured died at Rupganj Upazila Health Complex.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.
