2 physicians among 3 killed in road accident

Narsingdi Correspondent: At least three people including two physicians were killed as a truck and microbus collided head-on in the district on Friday morning.

The accident took place on Dhaka Sylhet highway in Kundarpara bus stand area under Shibpur upazila.

The deceased were identified as Smiriti Kona (35), physician   of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), Md. Kolimullah (50), physician of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, and Monir (35), micro-bus driver of Aristo Pharma.
The injured are Bijon Chandro Saha (40), a physician of Netrokona, his mother Animika Saha (55), Laki Begum (18), a housemaid,   Tanvir Ahmed, a physician of NICVD, and Mostafijur Rahman (32), a physician of Kishoregnaj.

The injured were immediately taken to Narsingdi General Hospital. Later, they were shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
