3 drown in Brahmanbaria boat capsize

Brahmanbaria Correspondent: Three people drowned and some others remain missing as a boat capsized in Chetra river at Sharail in the district on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Abul Kahar, 50, Fatema begum, 45, and her daughter Shefali Akter, 2.

Police and locals said the passenger boat capsized in Chetra river on the way to Ranidia village leaving the three people dead and some others missing.

The other passengers swam to safety, they added.
