3 held in Mirpur drive

Staff Correspondent: Police detained three people including a woman from a house located in Pirerbagh area of Mirpur in the capital on Tuesday.

However, the criminals fled from the backdoor of the residence, said Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia.

The DMP Commissioner also said that following specific information, Detective Branch (DB) of police conducted a drive in the area on Monday night. Meanwhile, sensing the presence of police, the terrorists opened fire and exploded some explosives, leaving a police inspector killed.

Later, police nabbed three people from the house for quizzing.
