4 die inhaling septic tank gas in Naogaon

Naogaon Correspondent: Four people, including two of a family, died inside a septic tank at Goalia village under Naogaon Sadar upazila after inhaling `toxic gas` early Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Imtiaz, 22, Ratan, 30, Babu, 28 and identity of another could not be ascertained yet.

Zakirul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Naogaon Sadar Police Station, said, "A worker went into the tank in the morning. The others followed when he did not to come after a while. We suspect all of them died due to the gas inside the tank.”

 
The bodies have been recovered and sent to the local hospital for autopsy, he added.
