4 held with fake notes in Lalmonirhat

Lalmonirhat Correspondent: Police detained four people with fake currencies from Baura Bazar under Patgram upazila of the district on Thursday night.

The detainees are- Abdul Latif, 48, Rashed Ali, 45, Babul Hossain, 48 and Rahidar Rahman, 45.

Sources said that acting on a tip off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and caught the suspected fake currency dealers red handed.

Meanwhile, the law enforcers recovered three Tk.1000 notes, one Tk. 500 note and fake Indian rupees.

Confirming the matter, Patgram Police Station (investigation) Mahfuz Alam said that a case was filed against the detainees in this regard.
