5 killed in Bandarban landslide

Bandarban Correspondent: At least five people have been killed in a landslide in Haspatal Para area of the district’s Lama upazila.

At least two other people are also missing in the incident that happened around 2.00am on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Rozina (25), her son Sazzat (4), her brother Putia (17), Amena (26) and her son Arafat.

According to sources, due to incessant rain, a part of the hill collapsed on their houses while they were sleeping at night.

Lama OC Shirajul Islam confirmed about the deaths in the landslide.
