4-yr old Bangladesh boy suffers rare genetic disease

Anwar Hossain Shahin from Magura: First baby in a family always brings joy but tension and pain grabbed all happiness of Shikdar family in Bangladesh’s western district of Magura when a baby born with physical complexity.  

Bayazid, the boy born with a rare genetic disease that causes premature age making child and teenager look like little old man and woman. It affects just one in 8 million worldwide.

He is only 4 years old, but suffers from a rare skin condition that leaves him looking many years older.

4 year old Bayazid looks like about 80 years old

Lavlu Shikdar, father of the kid, says Bayazid was born like an old man and the old-age signs have grown over the years.

Grandfather Hasem Ali Shikdar said that seeing the child, locals became panicked and spread rumors.

Mother Tripti Khatun said that Bayazid is only four but looks like about 80 years old. The child has been taken to doctors in Magura, Faridpur and other nearby districts, but no-one could diagnose his disease.
