5 held over Hossaini Dalan blasts

Staff Correspondent: Police held five people over the incident of Hossaini Dalan blasts in Old Dhaka. The detainees are members of outlawed militant outfit Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), claims police.

Police nabbed them conducting drives in different places in the capital on Wednesday night, confirmed DMP deputy commissioner (media) Muntasirul Islam.

The details will be briefed at noon, he added.

On October 22, homemade bomb blasts took place in front of Hossaini Dalan in Old Dhaka during the preparation of Tajia procession was to be brought out from there to mark the holy Ashura, that left two dead and more than hundred injured.
