5 workers killed as truck falls into ditch in Tangail

Staff Correspondent, Tangail: Five workers were killed and 30 others injured as a truck plunged into a roadside ditch in Kalihati upazila of the district early Monday.
The accident took place near Saturia bridge at Kalihati bus stand area.
The deceased could not be identified immediately.
Mir Mosharraf Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kalihati Police Station, said the Habiganj-bound truck from Gaibandha carrying a group of fell into the ditch around 6:15 am after the driver lost control over the steering, leaving five workers dead on the spot and 30 others injured.
The injured were rushed to 250-bed Tangail General Hospital.
All the deceased were the workers of Pran-RFL Group.
