Denmark keen to assist in Bangladesh health sector

Secretariat Correspondent: Denmark today expressed keenness to help in the development of health sector in Bangladesh.

Danish Ambassador in Dhaka Mikael Hemniti Winther expressed the keenness when he called on Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim at his secretariat office in the city.

The envoy voiced satisfaction over the recent progress in Bangladesh's health sector and said Denmark wants to come forward with public and private initiatives for further development.

He appreciated community clinics in rural areas, poverty alleviation, women empowerment and achievements of Bangladesh.

The health minister urged Denmark to play a role in improving health standard of the people of Bangladesh in future.
