87.90pc pass JSC-JDC

The results of this year`s Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations have been published showing 87.90 per cent pass rate.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni announced the results officially at a press briefing held at her ministry office on Tuesday noon.

As many as 78,429 students have achieved GPA-5, which was 68,095 last year.

Dr Dipu Moni said 87.90 per cent students have passed JSC-JDC exams this year which was 85.83 per cent last year, showing 2.07 per cent higher from the previous year.

Earlier, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni handed over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday morning.

As many as 26,61,682 students from 29,262 educational institutions participated in the JSC and JDC examinations this year. Of them, 22,60,716 are JSC examinees.
