9 to walk gallows for murder in Ctg

A court in Chattogram has sentenced nine people to death and four others to life imprisonment for the murder of businessmen Jahangir Alam.

Chattogram Divisional Speedy Trial Tribunal Judge Mohammad Abdul Halim passed the order on Monday noon.

The convicts are – Sajib, Rajib, Harun, Shawon, Amin, Rob, Momin, Abu Taher and Md Mohsin.

According to the case statement, son of Fazr Ali of Gouripur village in Daudkandiupazila in Comilla was hacked to death on December 1, 2013.

Later, the murder case shifted to Chattogram Speedy Tribunal from Cumilla court in 2015.
