AC blast kills 5 Bangladeshis in Kuwait

Moulavaibazar Correspondent: Five members of a Bangladeshi family were killed in the incident of blasting compressor of air conditioner (AC) in a residential building in Al-Salmiyah of the country.
The incident took place around 5:00pm (Bangladesh time) on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Rokeya Begum, her four children Fahad, Imad, Jamila and Namila. They all hailed from Kandigaon village of Kamalganj upazila in Moulavibazar.
Rokeya's husband Juned Mia was out of their apartment when the five-storey building caught fire.
Locals in Kamalganj said Juned Mia along with his family has been living in Kuwait for 15 years. The flat where they used to live caught fire as AC compressor went off accidentally on Monday afternoon, leaving the four dead from suffocation of the smoke.
Being informed, Juned Mia rushed to the spot and lost his sense. Later, he was given treatment at a local hospital, they added.
The bodies were kept Mobarak Al-Kabir hospital in the country, they said.
