AL begins discussion on `triumph of democracy` day

Staff Correspondent: Ruling Awami League has begun its discussion marking the third anniversary of January 5 national elections as `triumph of democracy` day.

The party is holding two rallies in two different places in the capital on Thursday afternoon as part of its programmes.

One of the rallies is being held at Russel Square organised by AL’s north unit and the other at Bangabandhu Avenue organised by its south unit.

Besides, similar programmes are being organised in all other districts and upazilas.

Supporters and activists of Awami League have gathered at the two venues from all corners of Dhaka city. Rallies will be brought out from both programmes.

The 10th parliamentary election was held on January 5, 2014.
