Actor Kalyan Corraya lands in jail

Staff Correspondent: Actor Kalyan Corraya was sent to Jail in a case filed for having alleged involvement in a road crash that left Prothom Alo photojournalist Zia Islam critically injured.

The court also asked the investigation officer to interrogate Kalyan at jail gate refusing three days remand plea.

Kalabagan police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Yasir Arafat told risingbd.com the actor was sent kept in jail. Investigation officer will quiz him later.

Earlier, Investigation Officer Md Omar Faruk, a sub-inspector of Kalabagan police station, produced him before the court seeking a three-day remand plea.

Photojournalist Zia Islam was injured when a speedy private car hit his motorcycle from behind in front of Bashundhara City shopping complex in Dhaka’s Panthapath area on Monday night.
