'All candidates to get equal privileges in Rangpur plls'

Staff Correspondent, Rangpur: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AKM Nurul Huda dismissed any chance of partiality for the candidates in the Rangpur City Corporation polls.

He said, "Equal privileges will be ensured for all the candidates. Law enforcement agencies are ready as they have already detected all the risks for the election."

ECE told this to the reporters after a meeting with law enforcement committee at Rangpur Divisional Commissioner office on Thursday noon.

Rejecting Army deployment during the city polls, CEC said there is no need for Army deployment. Currently 22 magistrates are working. From Friday, All the 33 wards will get a magistrate each for mobile drive. The magistrates will take measures immediately if they find any irregularities somewhere.  Besides, enough numbers of law enforcers were deployed there. They are alert to face any situation.
