Sports Correspondent: Bangladesh is expected to tour to Sri Lanka on July 20 for a three-match ODI series.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is likely to announce squad for the series on Tuesday. The series is scheduled to be started on July 26.

Khaled Mahmud Sujon will act as the head coach in the series.

BCB Cricket Operations Committee Chairman Akram Khan confirmed the news on Monday.

He said, “BCB president is currently out of the country. We will announce the squad on tomorrow (Tuesday) or the day after tomorrow (Wednesday). Most probably, it will be announced on Tuesday. We plan to send a 14-member squad. There is also possibility of increasing a member in the squad. Most of the cricketers out of the national team are busy with different games. ‘A’ team is currently in India. Some are playing against Afghanistan ‘A’ at home. I do not think of necessary to call more cricketers. 13-14 will be called. All are likely to fly for Sri Lanka together. Someone may fly from India as well.”

“Shakib Al Hasan will fly for Saudi Arabia for hajj. Liton is on leave for his marriage ceremony. All except these two will tour to Sri Lanka. However, we will miss them both,” he added.

He further said, “Two cricketers will be included to the places of Sahkib and Liton. Mahmudullah has already recovered his injury. We will call those are doing well in the positions.”
