BCL halts CU shuttle train

The shuttle train service in Chattogram University has been suspended following a blockade enforced by a faction of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) over a factional clash.

Supporters of BCL’s Bijoy Group took position at Sholoshahar Rail Station in the port city around 7.45am on Thursday and started staging demonstration after halting the train service.

They went on a strike this morning over their demands including arrest of CFC group leader Rezaul Haq Shamim and other accused.

Bijoy group leader Md Illias said they blocked the shuttle train service protesting attack on their activists and arrest of the criminals.

It can be here mentioned that at least three students were injured in a factional clash on Thursday afternoon.
