Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: Indian Border Security Force (BSF) allegedly tortured two Bangladeshi nationals at Kharchaka border area under Godagari in Rajshahi.
Sources said that BSF men picked up two Bangladeshi fishermen when they were fishing in Padma River. Later, the two fishermen were sent back from the border area after torching them brutally.
Two victims named Mizanur alias Mizan, 27 and Nishan Ali, 24 are now taking treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Lieutenant colonel Iftekhar Shamim Al Masud, commanding-officer of Border Guard Bangladesh Battalion -1 said that BGB forces went to hospital to get statement from the fishermen.
A letter will be sent to the BSF protesting against the torture of Bangladeshis, he added.
