Bir Pratik Ashraf Ali dies with corona-like symptoms

Freedom fighter Bir Pratik Ashraf Ali Khan has died with symptoms similar to that of coronavirus or Covid-19 in Mymensingh.

The 63-year-old freedom fighter breathed his last around 12 pm on Tuesday (June 30) while being taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

Dr Jakiul Islam, assistant director of the hospital, confirmed the his death.

Ashraf Ali had been suffering from fever and breathing difficulties for three days. He died on way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated, he said.

His sample has been collected as he had symptoms similar to that of coronavirus, he added.

The freedom fighter left behind his wife, three sons, relatives and a host of well-wishers to mourn his death.
