Businessman found dead in Gazipur

Staff Correspondent: Police have recovered the body of a businessman from Baghia area of Konabari in Gazipur city corporation on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Saidur Rahman Mondol alias Sodu Mondol, 55, son of late Kolimuddin of Baghia area.

Gazipur city corporation councillor Azharul Islam Mollah said locals found the hands and legs of Saidur Rahman tied to rope in a hole near Baghia High School in the area around 9:30am. On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.

Sub-inspector Mobarak Hossain of Konabari police outpost under Joydebpur police station confirmed the matter.

The body was sent to Gazipur Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, the police official said.
