CIS-BCCI delegation left for Russia to Attend SPIEF'18

Staff Correspondent: A 5-Member business delegation of Commonwealth of Independent States-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CIS-BCCI) led by its President Mr. Md Habib Ullah Dawn has left Dhaka for Russia to attend SPIEF’18 to be held at St. Petersburg during May 24-26, 2018.

Other Members of the delegation are Mr. Mohammad Ali Deen, Vice President, CIS-BCCI, Mr. Mahbub Islam Runu, Director, CIS-BCCI, Mr. Sheikh Fayez Alam, General Member, CIS-BCCI and Mr. Abdul Latif Sarker, General Member, CIS-BCCI.

The team will also visit St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce with which it has an MoU and pay visit to Moscow where they will meet Moscow Chamber including a visit to our embassy in Moscow.

It may be mentioned here that SPIEF is the biggest International Economic Event being held at St. Petersburg under the auspices of the Russian President Vladimir Putin. More than 14,000 representatives from about 150 countries are participating in the Event that also includes Mr. Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, Mr. Shinzō Abe, Prime Minister of Japan, Mr. Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund.

CIS-BCCI is regularly participating in SPIEF since 2015 in a bid to establish closer economic contact with Russia and other CIS countries considering it as a 3rd front of Bangladesh export destination.
