Cricketer Sanjida accorded reception in Rangpur

Staff Correspondent, Rangpur: Sanjida Islam, vice captain of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup champions Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team, was accorded a reception in her hometown Rangpur.

After getting the warm reception from her locals, Sanjida Islam became little bit emotional. Meanwhile, she expressed her hope that she will bring fame for the country doing better in cricket.

Sanjida, who was born in Mulatol of the district town, played a great role for Bangladesh in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup.  She was third child of late Sirajul Islam.

The people of Rangpur district also feel proud for the valiant girl. Mulatol shop owners association, ward number 20 councilor and locals organized the reception for cricketer Sanjida Islam on Wednesday afternoon.

Ward councilor Touhidul Islam, Mulatola shop owners association president Bakul Dewan, Senior vice-president Abdullah Sarkar, general secretary Hazi Maruf, metropolitan unit Juba League convener Murad Hossain, Swechchha- sebak Leaguegeneral secretary Ramjan Ali Tuhin and other attended the function.
