Decision to receive chargesheet against Khaleda June 28

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court here on Thursday fixed June 28 for further hearing regarding to receive chargesheet against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and 37 others in connection with the arson attack on a passenger bus in city’s Jartabari area.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Samsul Arefin fixed the date after a hearing in this regard on the day.

Earlier on May 6, the Detective Branch (DB) of Police has submitted charge-sheet against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and 37 others in the case of petrol bomb attack on a passenger bus in city’s Jartabari area.

The convicts are- BNP`s standing committee member Rafiqul Islam Mia, MK Anwar, BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Amanullah Aman, Barkatullah Bulu, Vice-chairman Selima Rahman, BNP chairperson`s advisor Khandaker Mahbub Hossain, Shawkat Mahmud, BNP Chairperson’s Press Secretary Maruf Kamal Khan Sohel, Chairperson`s special assistant Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas and others.

On January 23, a group of miscreants hurled petrol bombs on a passenger bus of Glory Paribahan on Demra Road in Katherpool area during nationwide blockade programme enforced by BNP-led 20-party alliance.
