Development Fair-2018 begins

Staff Correspondent: A three-day 'Development Fair' has begun  at upazila and district levels across the country aiming to show the government's multiple development initiatives and successes.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the fair through a video conference from Ganobhaban on Thursday morning.

Dhaka district administration has organised the fair on Shilpakala Academy premises.

The main objective of the fair is to inform the country's people about the development initiatives and the ongoing programmes the government has taken to build Bangladesh a middle-income country by 2021 and a developed one by 2041.

The development fair is also being held abroad with a view to ensuring participation of the Bangladeshi expatriates in the development initiatives taken by the present Awami League government.
