EC orders campaigners from outside to leave port city

Staff Correspondent: The Election Commission ordered campaigners from outside of Chittagong City to leave the port city by April 25 nightfall.

Confirming the matter Chittagong Returning Officer Abdul Baten said that law enforcers will conduct raid in different city hotels, rest houses and guesthouses after 12:00am on Saturday.

Besides, a ban on the movement of motorcycles in the city from 12:00am April 25 until 6am on April 29 has also been ordered.

Abdul Baten said that the law-enforcers have been directed to take action against anyone violating this order.
