Staff Correspondent: Voting in City Corporation elections is not taking in a fair way, alleged Afroza Abbas, wife of Mirza Abbas, BNP backed mayoral candidate in Dhaka South City Corporation.
She came up with the allegations while talking to journalists after inspecting Lutfa Academy polling centre in city’s Shantinagar area on Tuesday morning.
“There is no chance of a fair election. It’s also a controversial election,” she said.
The BNP leader’s wife alleged that polling agents of BNP-backed candidates are not being allowed to enter into the centres.
Earlier, voting in three city corporations (Dhaka South, North and Chittagong) began at 8.00am.
