Ex-BNP vice-chairman Enam now AL adviser

Senior Correspondent: Dr Enam Ahmed Chowdhury, former vice-chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has been nominated as member of the ruling Awami League’s advisory council.

AL’s office secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap confirmed the news on Sunday night.

He said, “AL president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina nominated Dr Enam Ahmed Chowdhury as member of the party’s advisory council with the authority of the Awami League's 20th National Council held on 22 and 23 October in 2016.

Dr Enam Ahmed Chowdhury left BNP and joined ruling Awami League officially on December 19, 2018.

Enam was a vice-chairman of BNP and an adviser to the party’s Chairperson Khaleda Zia before he resigned from the party.
