Fog halts Patuaria-Dowlatdia ferry services

Manikganj Correspondent: Ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia route in the River Padma were disrupted following dense fog early today.

Authorities concerned were forced to suspend ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia route around 1:00am due to poor visibility of the routes caused by thick fog.

Mohiuddin Rasel, assistant manager (commerce) of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) at Daulatdia office, said the authorities suspended plying of the ferries around 1:00am due to poor visibility of the routes caused by heavy fog, causing immense sufferings to hundreds of passengers.
