Gas cylinder blast kills woman in Ashulia hotel

Staff Correspondent, Savar: A woman was killed in the incident of gas cylinder blast at a hotel in Ashulia of Savar, the outskirts of Dhaka, on Saturday midnight.

The incident occurred at Maa Motel of Baipail area.

Jahedul Islam, owner of the hotel, said the woman was cooking on the gas stove in the night. The cylinder went off suddenly, engulfing fire inside the hotel, leaving her dead on the spot.

Another worker was also injured in the incident, he added.

Jahedul could not reveal the identification of the woman as she was new comer there.
