Godfather held with 8 lakh Yaba pills

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive have arrested a godfather and three drug traders along with eight lakh Yaba pills and firearms.

They were arrested from  Rongikhali area under Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar district early Friday.

ASP Mashekur Rahman of RAB-7 confirmed the matter.

The arrestees were identified as Nur Alam alias Nur Hafez, 30, a top listed criminal and named on the Home Ministry list, and his associates Mohammad Sohel, 27, Syed Nur, 28, and Nur Alam alias Kalu, 45.

RAB also recovered two pistols, six guns and 70 bullets from them.
