Govt pushing BNP towards conflict: Fakhrul

Senior Reporter: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has alleged that the government wants to push the party men towards a conflict by obstructing peaceful programmes.
Fakhrul came up with the allegation at a press conference held at the party’s Nayapaltan central office in the city on Saturday.
The BNP secretary general said the government wants to make the situation conflict with provocation. But BNP has been holding programmes peacefully. The government will be responsible for bad situation due to its behavior.
Fakhrul criticized the government for not letting BNP men hold black flag rally in the city. He said such activities are the ruling party’s methods to provoke.
BNP leaders Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Mirza Abbas, Abdul Moin Khan, Abdul Awal Mintoo, Ruhul Alam Chowdhury and others were present.
