HC upholds death penalty for 3 in minor murder case

Staff Correspondent: The High Court has upheld the death penalty awarded to three persons for murdering a kid named Mustakim, 7.

Justice Ruhul Kuddus and Justice Bhismadev Chakrabarti passed the verdict on Sunday.

The convicts are- Tafail Ahmed Hira, Sohel Rana Shipon, Anwar Hossain. All the convicts are on the run.

According to the case statement, on May 31, 2001, the convicts killed the seven years old kid and dumped the body in a under construction building.

Later, police recovered the body after 79 days following the confessional statement of Tafail Ahmed Hira.
