Influentials trying to take trial to different sectors: Minni

Barguna Correspondent: Ayesha Siddika Minni, wife of slain Rifat Sharif, claimed that influential people are attempting to take the trial of the murder to different sectors.

She said, “Creators of 007 group are very powerful and wealthy. They are attempting to take the trial to different sectors to keep themselves free of charges over the incident.”

“They created pressures on my father-in-law to hold a press conference to make me involved in the incident,” she added.

Minni said this in counter a press conference at her home on Sunday noon.

She said, “My father-in-law is ill. He is currently devastated with son’s mourning. Influential people are taking the advantage of the situation. They are creating pressure on him to hold press conference against me.”

Claiming herself innocent, Minni said, “My husband was hacked to death at broad day light. The world had watched the film of the gruesome incident through social media.”

She said, “I’m the chief witness in the case. The accused want to take advantage to make me include in the case.”

Meanwhile, people of all walks of lives formed a human chain at Barguna press club on Sunday demanding arrest of Minni.

Rifat’s father Dulal Sharif, his uncle Abdul Aziz Sharif, District Awami League Science and Technology Affairs Secretary, also Barguna-1 lawmaker Dhirendra Debnath Shambhu’s son Sunam Devnath and former BCL leader Maruf Mridha spoke in the programme.

Mentionable, Dulal Sharif held a press conference at Barguna press club on Saturday night demanding arrest of Minni over the incident of sensational Rifat murder.
