Ismat Ara Sadique no more

Ismat Ara Sadique, former state minister for Public Administration, is no more.

She breathed her last around 9.50am on Tuesday at LabAid Hospital in the city.

Ismat Ara Sadique’s personal secretary Debasish Aich confirmed the matter.

Ismat Ara Sadique was born on December 12 in 1942 in Bogura.  She and her husband ASHK Sadique  joined Awami League in 1992.

Her husband ASHK Sadique was the former education minister and Awami League advisrory committee member. He elected MP twice from Jashore-6 constituency. He died on September 9 in 2007.

She left behind one son, one daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death. Her son Tanvir Sadique is a computer engineer and daughter Nowrin Sadeque is an architect.

Meanwhile, President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of the MP elected from Jashore-6.

President and Prime Minister in separate condolence messages prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
