Jamaat ban verdict soon

Staff Correspondent: The case of banning Jamaat-e-Islami is under process. Verdict on the case would be announced soon.

Minister for Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque made the disclosure while addressing a discussion at the conference lounge of National Press Club in city on Tuesday.

“The verdict on banning war crimes accused Jamaat-e-Islami will be announced soon. Besides, the government has decided to try all war criminals including Jamaat,” the Minister said.

Speaking on the occasion, National Parliament Chief Whip ASM Feroz said that as Ziaur Rahman killed Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, his son Tarique Rahman wanted to kill Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Awami League central sub-committee assistant secretary Advocate Balaram Poddar, Abdullah-Al-Kawsar and MA Karim were among others present in the discussion.
