Khaleda sends legal notice to PM

Senior Correspondent: BNP has sent a legal notice to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over the allegation of money laundering in foreign countries by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made the disclosure while addressing a press conference at the party's Nayapaltan office on Wednesday.

Khaleda Zia's lawyer Mahbubuddin Khokon sent the notice by a courier service on Tuesday.  



According to the notice, the party demanded an unconditional apology that can be issued to the media within 30 days. Compensation will be sought through legal means if no apology is issued.

BNP Senior leaders Dr Abdul Moin Khan, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Fazlul Haque Milon, Mir Sharafat Ali Sapu, Abdus Salam Azad and others attended press conference.
