Khaleda to visit Ukhia Rohingya camp Sunday

Senior Correspondent: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is expected to visit Rohingya people who fled to Bangladesh from Myanmar at Ukhia camp of Cox's Bazaar on Sunday.

Senior leaders of the party will accompany Khaleda Zia during the visit, a source confirmed the news to risingbd.

BNP Chief held a meeting with the party policymakers on Monday night, first time after she returned from London after passing there nearly three months for her treatment.

Meanwhile Tuesday's press conference scheduled to inform over Rohingya camp visit has been deferred as the party Standing Committee Member MK Anwar died in the wee hours on the day.

Party sources said Khaleda and her entourage will leave Dhaka for Cox's Bazaar on Sunday. They will take a break in Chittagong and stay there on the night. On the following morning, they will start for Rohingya camp of Ukhia in Cox's Bazaar.
