Staff Correspondent, Savar: Food Minister Qamrul Islam asserted that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia would secure bail on Thursday last.
The Minister came up with the remark while speaking at a programme at Tetuljhora College ground in Savar, the outskirts of the capita Dhaka, on Saturday afternoon.
Qamrul Islam, "BNP chief would get bail on Thursday last, if her lawyers provided the certified copy of the verdict to the lawyer of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on time. But, they (BNP) willingly kept Khaleda in jail."
"The hearing on bail will be held on Sunday. The court will decide whether she will get bail or not? We knew nothing in this connection. It is also their own decision whether BNP will participate in election or not? The election will be held on time whether they participate or not," he added.
