Landslide kills 11 in Rangamati

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: At least eleven people have been killed and several others injured in the incident of landslide triggered by heavy rainfall at Naniarchar upazila in Rangamati.

The incident occurred around 8:30am on Tuesday.

Taposh Shil, NDC of the district administration, confirmed the news.

Casualties could not be identified immediately. However, it was understood that many of the victims are of same family.

According to the district administration, being informed of landslide, members of local upazila administration, police and Fire Service rushed to the spot and started rescue activities immediately.
