Mashrafe-Shakib-Nasir fly for South Africa

Sports Correspondent: Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, T-20 captain Shakib Al-Hassan and all-rounder Nasir Hossain left Dhaka for South on Saturday to attend the limited over series against the Proteas.

Pacer Saif Uddin also accompanied with them.

The flight of Emirate Airlines carrying the four Tigers took off around 10:15am at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. The flight will take a break in Dubai. Later, it will fly for Johannesburg.

All the four cricketers are expected join Bangladesh team on October 8.

After the ongoing test series, bowler Shafiul Islam, Subhasish Roy and Taijul Islam will left South Africa for Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, cricketers who are in ODI squads will start their practice after the test. The three-match series will begin October 15.

Before the main series, Bangladesh will take on South Africa Invitation XI in the lone tour match to be held on October 12.

The next two ODIs will be held on October 18 and 22.

Bangladesh will also play a two-match T-20 series against the hosts starting on October 26. The second and final T-20 match will be held on October 29.

Mashrafe will return home on October 23 after the ODI series ended, as he retired from Twenty-Twenty cricket.

Shakib Al-Hasan will make his debut as T-20 captain against the South Africa.

Bangladesh will end their South Africa series on October 30.
