Mobile court to ensure safe food

Secretariat Correspondent: Food Minister Advocate Kamrul Islam said that the government will form ‘Court for Pure Food’ and will run mobile court to ensure safe food for people.

He also said that the Ministry of Home Affairs will issue a gazette notification in this regard within a day or two.

The Minister came up with the disclosures while talking to journalists at the Secretariat on Tuesday noon after US ambassador in Dhaka Mercia Stephens Bloom Bernicat met him.

He said the US envoy expressed her satisfaction over the government’s measurements to ensure safe food.

‘Court for Pure Food’ will be formed which will be conducted by various courts of the country. Besides, mobile court will conduct drives to ensure safe food for people,” the Food Minister added.

Kamrul Islam said that USAID will also assist Bangladesh to ensure safe food.
