Mojaheed taken to tribunal

DHAKA, July 17: Jamaat-e-Islami secretary general Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed has been taken to International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 on Wednesday moring as the tribunal will pronounce verdict in the case filed against him in connection with war crimes.
A contingent of securitymen guarded the Jamaat top leader as he was taken to the prison cell of the ICT-2 from Dhaka Central Jail at about 9:45am in a white microbus.
ICT-2 led by Justice Obaidul Hasan will announce the verdict.
Mojaheed faces the trial on seven counts of crimes against humanity, including genocide, murder, torture, conspiracy, planning incitement and complicity in atrocities during the 1971 Liberation War.
