'Money laundering should be stopped'

Economic Correspondent: Anti-Corruption Commission Chairman (ACC) Iqbal Mahmood said money laundering should be stopped to build the country as a 'developing country'.

The ACC chief made the opinion while addressing a human-chain programme organized by the watchdog in front of national press club in the capital on Wednesday.

He said, "We have to stop money laundering anyhow. We are collecting trusted information. Action will be taken against them who are involved with money laundering."

"The rate of corruption has reduced. But, all of us should be united to create awareness against corruption," he added.

ACC director Nasim Anwar and other high officials of the organization were attended the function.
